I was anxious and frustrated, but at the same time was completely sure that I had done the right thing… I could not allow anyone in my program to insult even the worst person in the world.
Of course, I did understand him, the father of the imprisoned journalist. It was hard for him to face such kind of base manner towards his son: this prisoner witnessed at the court that he had seen the journalist using narcotics for several time. As a result of this witness the journalist could stay in prison for more 2,5 years. On the other hand this witness himself had been convicted for raping for his own 3 years old daughter.
It was not the first time that the government used immoral people against critical journalists to make them silent. But when journalist” s father wanted to insult the witness prisoner I immediately asked him to stop it, although I also agree with the father in the depth of my heart!
